Study sees rise in men not washing hands



According to the latest stakeout by the "hand washing police”, the gender gap has widened when it comes to hygiene. 根据最新的“洗手警察”的监视调查，当涉及到卫生问题时，性别差异会更加的大。

When it comes to public restrooms, one-third of men didn't bother to wash after using the bathroom, compared with 12 percent of women. 在使用完公共厕所之后，有三分之一的男士不愿意麻烦自己洗个手，而这样的女士有12％。

Frequent hand washing is the single best thing people can do to avoid getting sick, from colds and the flu to germs lurking in food. 经常洗手是人们避免由感冒，流感和食物中潜伏病毒带来的疾病简单而有效的一个办法。

Nearly three-fourths of Americans said they always wash up after changing a diaper, 78 percent said they do so after eating food; 42 percent after petting a dog, 25 percent after handling money, and 34 percent after coughing or sneezing.
