And because millions of fashion fans will be tuning in to the red carpet parade - the show is great precursor of what will be big in beauty sales for spring.
Look for bright lipstick, says Blandino:
"We are going to pop the whole look with a great lip. The traditional red glamorous lip is classic. It never goes out of style, it is always fun. But, the more modern twist is bright pink. So hot. It is all over the runways all over every celebrity. You are going to want to sport this all spring long."
Actresses will also be show-casing the latest in hair designs, inspiring global fashion trends and thousands of copy-cat looks for the year to come.
Patrick Melville tends the tresses of stars like Charlize Theron, Blake Lively, Demi Moore, Heidi Klum, Halle Berry, Tom Cruise and Mark Wahlberg.
He agrees that it's all about feminine beauty this year:
"I think the hair these days is really going in a more natural feeling. I mean it is not forced hair, it is more loose, a little more romantic. It's going to be like the up-do's, soft loose chignon's. Kind of a little messy, not structured at all. The hair is going to have big open waves, very healthy, very shinny. Very soft, very touchable hair."
