Step 3: Magic Trick Explained

The reason for holding the bottom match like this is that I am pressing the match hard against my nail. This will cause direct friction. I now press up on the bottom match making it move in small invisible jerks this will transfer to the top match making it jump and that was the jumping match revealed.
