36 dead in Mexico bus accident

At least 36 people have been killed after a passenger bus slammed into a broken-down truck and burst into flames inVeracruz state in southern Mexico.

State and federal officials said that four people survived the crash, which happened shortly after midnight.

Forensic officials were still combing through the charred bus wreckage, searching for the remains of those killed.

The state government of Tabasco, where the bus had been travelling from, said it was setting up a crisis centre for the families of the victims, to provide them with social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists if they needed help.
