Yale-The Cradle of Leadership
In the American history, some 5 presidents graduated from Yale: the 27th President William Howard Taft, the 38th President Gerald Rudolph Ford, the 41st President George Bush, the 42st President Bill Clinton and the 43rd President George Walker Bush. Yale relied on its outstanding performance to create a political miracle. Therefore, Yale is known as "the cradle of presidents". There is a joke in Yale going as "Incautiously, you will teach a President to come." Besides presidents, it has also trained numerous American eye-catching characters in the political arena. According to the correlation data statistics, since 1789 when American Cabinet was created, 9% of its members have come from Yale, 10 American Supreme Court grand justices once studied in Yale. What's more, numerous renowned universities, founders came from Yale, such as those presidents of Princeton University, Cornell University, University of Chicago, etc. Therefore, Yale is also known as "mother of American colleges".
Although it is famous for its humanities, Yale also creates a group of world-top scientists for its sense of putting the same stress on arts and science subjects. For instance, Benjamin Silliman, known as "father of American education", who founded the American Journal of Science and the Arts in 1818 graduated from Yale.
