According to market researcher IDC, Xiaomi was China's hottest phone brand for the years 2014 and 2015, even becoming known as the "the Apple of China." However it could not keep the momentum in 2016, as it was actually edged out that year by Apple themselves.

Apple shipped a total of 44.9 million iPhones to China, the largest phone market in the world. However Apple and Xiaomi still ranked lower among other phone distributors, coming in at Number 4 and Number 5 respectively. The big winner was Oppo, which shipped 78.4 million phones, doubling its shipment from 2015.
苹果公司向世界上最大的手机市场——中国发出了4490万部手机。但是苹果和小米的排名依然低于其他手机制造商，分别位列第四和第五。最大的赢家是Oppo，一共售出了7840万部手机，此销售量是2015年的两倍。
