A new study by the University of Nottingham in England found that silk clothing did not provide much improvement in eczema symptoms in children. Researchers studied 300 children with moderate to severe eczema for six months.
The children were divided into two groups. One group received standard care, the other group received standard care and wore silk garments. Silk is believed to be beneficial for those with eczema. The study found no significant difference in the severity of eczema between the group wearing the silk garments and the group that did not.
