Cognitive distance is when there is incongruence between two thoughts when two beliefs are conflicting.

We don't like it. We want there to be a match.
或者说行为和信念相冲突
Or when there is a conflict between behavior and a belief.
我们不愿看到这种情况,我们想要一致
And what cognitive distance says is that this is... has to be resolved.
认知距离理论是讲这种冲突必须要被消解
And the way we resolve it is usually by getting our attitudes, our thoughts, our beliefs to match our behavior.
我们消解它的方法就是让我们的态度,我们的想法和信念,尽量符合我们的行为
