They complained about how they had spent two years working with Sony, and it hadn't gone anywhere.

They agreed to quit dealing with Sony and join with Apple instead.

"How Sony missed this is completely mind-boggling to me, a historic fuckup," Iovine said.

"Steve would fire people if the divisions didn't work together, but Sony's divisions were at war with one another."
