Canine Companions is an organization which trains pups.

犬类同伴是一家专门训练小狗的组织。

The training is two months long. The pups become facility dogs. A facility dog can do special tasks. Such dogs help in hospitals. Or they help people with tasks. The dogs can open doors or pick up things. The organization has 475 dogs. 70 of them work in hospitals. More and more hospitals want to have these dogs.

训练时间两个月长。这些小狗会成为辅助犬。辅助犬能完成特殊的任务。这些狗在医院帮忙。或者它们帮助人们完成任务。这些狗会开门或取东西。该组织有475条狗。其中70只在医院工作。越来越多的医院想拥有这些狗。

Parks is a two-year-old dog. He works in a children’s hospital in Orlando, US. He does normal things. He also makes children feel better in a way which people can’t. He is very excited to help and learn new things.

帕克斯是一只两岁的狗。他在美国奥兰多一家儿童医院工作。他做一些常规的事。他能用人类无法做到的方式让儿童感觉好一些。他很高兴能帮忙并学习新东西。

Notes:

1. canine：adj. 犬的；似犬的。

2. companion：n. 同伴，伙伴，表达“陪伴”的意思也可以用company，in company with sb.，“与某人在一起”。

3. pup：n. 小狗，幼小的动物，也可以说puppy。

4. facility dog：辅助犬，facility在这里是“附加服务; 附加功能”的意思。
