What is Remembrance Day?

Well, Remembrance Day marks the day the First World War ended at 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month, 1918.
阵亡将士纪念日是为了纪念第一次世界大战结束的日子--1918年11月11日上午11时。
The day is used as a way to think of those who have served, or are currently serving in the armed forces.

A moment of silence is held at 11 a.m. to remember people who have died in wars around the world.

Well, during World War One, land that had become battlefields in France and Belgium had been turned into wasteland that was devastated by fighting.

After the fighting had stopped on the fields, poppies began to grow.
