Yep, you got it. Today, we're looking at the word get.

Get has a lot of uses, and it can be very flexible.

But for this reason, you might find it a bit confusing.

Today, I'm gonna show you some different uses.

Let's get into it.

Firstly, it's used to mean buy or bought.

I got a giant stuffed panda online, which means I bought a giant stuffed panda online.

And it's very commonly used to mean obtain or receive.

What are the different uses of get?

The first example was, I don't get it. Where's everyone going?

In this case, get is being used to mean understand.

So you can say, "I got that" or "I didn't get that",

meaning, I understood, or I didn't understand.

The second sentence was, Earth's getting too hot.

In this case, get is being used to mean become.

We use become to describe a change in state.

She's getting upset.

Next, we had "how long does it take to get there?"

So you can say, are they getting here soon?

Finally, we had, I guess we'd better get on the rocket too then.

So, as you can see, get has a lot of uses.
