[00:09.75]A Full-Time School Called Life [00:14.39]You are enrolled in a full-time school called "life". [00:19.27]Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. [00:25.02]You may like the lessons or hate them, [00:28.15]but you have designed them as part of your curriculum. [00:32.08]Why are you here? [00:34.27]What is your purpose? [00:35.90]Humans have sought to discover the meaning of life for a very long time. [00:40.97]What we and our ancestors have to overlook, [00:45.29]however, is that there is no one answer. [00:48.29]The meaning of life is different for every individual. [00:52.42]Each person has his or her own purpose and distinct path, [00:57.54]unique and separate from anyone else's. [01:01.17]As your travel through your lifetime, [01:04.54]you may encounter challenging lessons that others don't have to face, [01:09.36]while others spend years struggling with challenges [01:13.11]that you don't need to deal with. [01:15.36]You cannot be sure why you struggle financially [01:18.67]while your peers enjoy abundance. [01:21.42]The only thing you can count on for certain is [01:25.36]that you will be presented with all the lessons [01:28.36]that you specifically need to learn; [01:31.05]whether you choose to learn them [01:33.36]or not is entirely up to you. [01:36.05]The challenge here, therefore, [01:38.18]is to fit in with your own unique path [01:41.99]by learning individual lessons. [01:44.55]This is one of the most difficult challenges [01:47.55]you will be faced with in your lifetime, [01:50.05]as sometimes your path will be radically different from others. [01:55.18]But, remember, don't compare your path to the people around you [02:00.18]and focus on the great difference [02:02.28]between their lessons and yours. [02:04.97]You need to remember that you will only be faced with lessons [02:09.60]that you are capable of learning [02:11.66]and are specific to your own growth. [02:14.66]Our sense of fairness is the expectation of equity, [02:20.47]the assumption that all things are equal [02:23.22]and that justice will always prevail. [02:26.04]Life is not, in fact, fair, [02:28.74]and you may indeed have a more difficult life path [02:32.74]than others around you, deserved or not. [02:36.12]Everyone's circumstances are unique, [02:39.24]and everyone needs to handle his or her own circumstances differently. [02:44.79]If you want to move toward peace, [02:47.29]you will be required to move out of [02:49.85]the complaining phase of "it's not fair". [02:52.54]Focusing on the unfairness of circumstances [02:56.42]keeps you comparing yourself with others [02:59.35]rather than appreciating your own special uniqueness. [03:02.60]You miss out on learning your individual lessons [03:06.54]by distracting yourself with feelings of bitterness and resentment.
