Improved performance at Carter& Sons
There was good news in Carter & Sons’ annual (0) yesterday. 21、这题要理解整个句子，同时分析词语的意思。是说三年的重组（restructure）在公司的一份积极的报表里达到了最高潮，这份报表先于将于八月初发布的官方中期结果。首先从意思上看，terminate表示终止，肯定不选，重组不会因为一份积极的报表就终止，何况还是非官方的；accomplish和complete都表示实现、完成，也不对，重组(restructure)的实现，一定会通过官方的报告来宣布，不会通过一份简单的积极的报表，所以从意思上看，应该选择culminate，达到高潮。
22题，中期的结果，interim results，不能选outcome，outcome是指the result or effect of an action or event。某个具体的行为或者某件事的结果，比较正式。
23题，去年同期，用equivalent。
24题，这题考查的是commission这个单词的一个用法：to formally choose someone to do a special piece of work。看个例句帮助理解：The newspaper commissioned a series of articles on the worst excesses of the fashion industry.
