Man: And did you take his advice?

Woman: Yes, I decided to make Jumpstart a marketing recruitment agency, because I knew the business and had good contacts.
女:是的,我决定把Jumpstart做成一个营销招聘机构,因为我了解这方面的业务,人脉很好。
Man: Was it easy getting started? How did you raise the money?
男:开始做起来容易吗?你是怎么筹到钱的?
Woman: Well, I'd learnt an important lesson from my time at Fast Forward. They'd had to stop trading because of large bank loans. I didn't want to make the same mistake with Jumpstart. I thought I might have to sell my house, but, fortunately, somebody I'd worked with at Fast Forward was very interested in coming in with me as a partner and also had money to invest.

Man: So how did Jumpstart find enough recruits to get started?
男:那么Jumpstart开始的时候是怎么接到这么多招聘业务的呢?
Woman: We planned to advertise in local newspapers because it was so cheap, but then decided that it wouldn't reach the right people, so we placed ads in several specialist marketing magazines. Expensive, but very effective - lots of enquiries. Nowadays we advertise mainly on the internet, but not then, of course.
女:我们本来打算在当地的报纸上做广告,因为非常便宜,但后来又觉得这样找不到合适的人,于是我们在几家专业的市场杂志上登了广告。很贵,但非常有效——很多人来咨询。现在我们主要是在互联网上宣传,但是那时候不是。
