The Olympic Torch has arrived in Thailand's capital city Bangkok after completing its journey in the Indian capital New Delhi.
Thailand has strengthened securities along the 10.5-kilometer route.
Thai authorities have said that any foreigner involved in efforts to disrupt the relay of the Olympic torch would be subject to expulsion from the country.
Earlier in an interview with CRI, Charouck Ariachakaran, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand, said his country is proud to be among the 21 international cities to embrace the Olympic Torch.
"The inclusion of Bankok in the route of the torch relay shows that China respects Thailand. I think that this is a honor for Thailand. So I believe Thailand should do its best to hold such an event and try to maintain close cooperation and coordination with China. "
Eighty runners will take part in the two-hour and 45-minute relay. The route starts from the heart of Bangkok's Chinatown and ends at the Royal Plaza, a large square in the heart of the old official section of the city.
The torch is scheduled to leave Thailand for Malaysia on Saturday night.
