Indian President Pranab Mukherjee is visiting China and has called for a closer economic partnership.
Mukherjee's first stop was the southern city of Guangzhou, where he met with investors at a business forum.
The Indian president will arrive in Beijing late Wednesday, and start his tour here on Thursday.
He is expected to hold talks with Chinese leaders on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues.
