M: Hey Beth! You look upset. Anything wrong?
男士：贝斯！你看上去不开心。出什么事了吗？
W: I just found out I have to move out of my place.
女士：我不能住在我现在的住处了。
M: You are kidding. Why?
男士：你不是开玩笑吧。为什么？
W: I'm living in a quite old house. And now something's wrong with the water pipes. We don't have any water in the house. And apparently, it's gonna take about two weeks to fix the problem. And it's really bad timing, with mid-term exams coming up and everything.
女士：我住的房子很旧了。现在水管出了问题，家里都断水了。而且要修好大概得需要两周左右的时间。问题出的太不是时候了，我马上要期中考试了，而且还有很多其他事。
M: So have you figured out what you are going to do?
男士：那你想好怎么办了吗？
W: Well, some friends said I could stay at their place. They don't have an extra bedroom, but they said it's OK for me to sleep on their living room couch.
女士：几个朋友说我可以和他们一起住。但是他们没有空闲的卧室，但是他们说我可以睡在他们客厅的沙发上。
M: You could probably handle that for a couple of weeks?
男士：你应该可以那样凑合几个星期吧？
W: I guess so. I mean it's really nice of them to offer, and it's free. The only problem is they already have four people living there so it could be a little crowded.
女士：应该可以。我觉得他们真的很好，而且是免费让我住。但是唯一不方便的一点就是他们那里现在就住了四个人，已经有点挤了。
M: Um, any other options?
男士：啊，那还有别的选择吗？
W: Well, I did find a small hotel on 3rd Street right near the campus.
女士：我实际上在学校附近第三大街上找到了一个小旅店。
M: Oh right! A lot of kids, parents stay there when they come for a visit.
男士：哦，对！很多孩子家长来看他们时都住在那里。
W: Yes. I could get a room there. They have a weekly rate and it's pretty reasonable, but... I don't know.
女士：是的。我可以在那边订一间房。她们那里可以按周计价，价格公道。但是……我也不知道。
M: At least at the hotel you'd have a place of your own. You know, so you could get more done.
男士：至少在酒店里你有了属于自己的空间。那样的话你能做更多事情。
W: That's definitely a plus. But I have to think about it. Even though it's pretty cheap, it will still end up costing me some money and my budget's pretty tight right now.
女士：那的确是一个优点。但是我还是得考虑一下。虽然很便宜，但总是一笔开支。我现在预算很紧张。
