Recently there is a hot discussion about the phenomenon of star-worshiping among teenagers. Many people think students should pay their most attention to study and star-worshiping is a waste of time. But I have different ideas.
As middle school students, who have had the ability of judging things,I think we should be allowed to do what we like, especially when star-worshiping can bring us something positive.
First of all, most of the stars have handsome appearances and superb skills which are hard to gain. For example, Jolin, my favorite idol, is a very hard-working singer. She was fat and couldn't dance at first, but after her hard and crazy effort day by day, now she not only become slim but also can dance beautifully. I am so moved by her spirit and decide to be a diligent and aggressive student just like her in order to achieve my dream.
Next, talking about idols is a good way to make friends. When we are with our new friends, it's necessary to discuss something interesting to get close. And we can't always talk about study and this topic is a good choice which can make us relaxed. Besides, some students' idols are foreigners, the process of star-worshiping is also a chance of learning foreign culture.
Although every coin has two sides and there are lots of disadvantages for star-worshiping, I still believe as long as we are rational enough and put study in the first place, it's OK for us to chase our idols.
