张曙光在回答记者提问时说，针对清明节和“五一黄金周”出行的习惯，铁道部在这次调图当中做了充分的考虑，对清明和“五一”旅客主要出行地区的买票难是有所缓解的。
When Zhang answered the reporters’ questions, he pointed out the Ministry of Railways has taken full account of the alteration of the diagram in accordance with the traffic practice during the “Tomb-sweeping Festival” and “May day holiday”, which will cope with the difficulty of buying tickets in some principal areas.

他表示，这次调图有五个变化：一是旅客运输能力得到提升。二是动车组开行范围明显扩大。三是客运产品结构进一步优化。四是主要城市间旅客列车运行时间大幅压缩。五是运输效率有新的提高。
He said there are 5 alterations: the capacity for transportations will increase; the CHR will be expanded on a larger scale; the structure for transportation will be optimized; the traveling time between the principal cities will be greatly reduced; the transportation efficiency will be increased.

总之，经过铁路部门几个月的艰苦努力，新图实施的各项准备工作已基本就绪，新图在安全、技术、设备、管理、组织上是有充分保障的。
In a word, the preparation for the new diagram has been almost completed after several months of painstaking efforts. The new diagram will be well guaranteed on safety, technique, equipment, management and organization.
