Candidate 1: My hometown is Lianyugang, a medium-sized town in the northeast of Jiangsu province, with a population of about 500 million. Liangyugang is a coastal city and the tempreture is 15 throughout the year. Due to the influence of ocean, it is the typical monsoon climate, wet and sticky(粘贴的), and has four distinct seasons of the year. It is famous for ocean industries all the over the world. Lianyyungang port is one of the top 10 Chinese seaports. It has built up relationships with about 1000 ports of more than 150 countries and regions in the world. It has become a hub(中心) of Chinese ports, which accomodates(容纳) more than 100 berths with hundred millons of capacity(容量). Local people are very optimistic and friendly. In summer, tourist are very welcome to spend holiday in this woonderful resort(度假胜地). Some of them could enjoy the sunshine lying on the beach volleyball is a fantastic sport. Besides, they can also enjoy the sunshine lying on the beach and get a beautiful suntan. This is my hometown, young and energetic city. I am very proud of her.

Candidate 2: My hometown is Xiangfan, a medium-sized(中等大小的) city which is flourishing(繁荣的) and full of vitality in the southwest of China. Firstly, it is one of the 10 cultural districts opening up to the outside. Therefore, there are numerous famous historical sites which possess great aesthetic and cultral values, such as "Long Zhong" and " Green Shadow Wall". Secondly, the climate of my hometown is not quite agreeable. The tempreture ranges from minus(零下的) 5 to 35 degree centigrade throughout the year. The climate here is subtropic accompanying the abundant rainfall in spring. Sometimes, it annoys me a lot because the prevalent areas are humid and muddy, which drives me crazy. In summer, since the weather is stuffy and lasts for a long period, we are relunctant to use air conditioners. Autumn passes quickly and winter always traps people in their home. What's more, the kindness and passion of people in my hometown impress me a lot. With the development and exchange with outside world, people here are also romantic and broad-minded(心胸开阔的). In my view, the typical character of people is determined by the city's culture and environment. Last but not least, the major industry in my hometown is automobiles. Several years ago, automobiles took the place of light industry to become the most significant primary industry in my hometown. "Er Qi" is a global combination company which produces and represents various brands of cars. In conclusion, although I left there to pursue my life destination in other cities, it is still the most beautiful place in my heart with my sweet memories and identity(身份).

Candidate 3: My hometown is a small beautiful city called Quzhou, which is located in the western part of Zhejiang Province. Quzhou has the subtropical climate and the four seasons in my hometown are distinct. Spring always comes with a spell of raining days. The spring iin my hometown is cool and comfortable while autumn is similar to spring except that the weather is much drier. During the summer, there is a rainy season which is called the plum-rain season(梅雨季节) from mid June to early July. The winter is not as cold as northern part of China. Therefore, people here could hardly see snowflakes in winter. Quzhou is famous for its extremely important geographical location. It has long been proved that the transportation is Quzhou is very developed as a center of four provinces. In addition, there are a variety of specialities in my hometown. Small steamed buns(Xiao long bao)are one of the special snack foods, which are fresh juicy and our hometown with thin skin and fillings of lean meat and lushy(嫩的) green onion. There is one thing that should also be mentioned. It is small flaky pastry which tastes crispy(脆的) and savory(可口的). I love the food as well as the life in my hometown.
