I wanna say something about the UK, which is actually the place where I would like to pursue my further education.
I guess it’s safe to say that everyone knows something about the UK. Well, I first knew it in our history classes in primary school. I learnt that a whole lot of areas of the world were once part of the British empire. It’s the place where steam engine, x-ray and modern computer were innovated. As I grow older, I come across news about the UK all the time. I know that the UK is one of the most industrialised nations in the world; it’s got fascinating galleries, museums and cultural heritages, as well as an excellent educational system. Besides, our president Mr. Xi, just paid a state visit to the UK, which has brought unprecedented closeness between our two countries.
Well, there are two main reasons why I would really like to visit the UK. Firstly, I’ve always been fascinated by the royal family, you know the Queen, William and Kate, and now the cute babies, especially George, who’s now third in line to the throne. I would really like to see the place they live, they wedded, like the Buckingham Palace, the Westminster Abbey, as well as the buildings nearby, such as the Big Ben, St. James Park. They all looked so fabulous on TV, and I am really looking forward to seeing them in person.
Besides, I’ve got another interesting reason why I would like to visit the UK, well, to taste how awful the food there really is. I’ve heard a lot of people saying how unbearable British cuisine is. I can’t imagine why such an innovative country has poor creativity in food. I guess I’ll have to find out myself.
