一、口译技巧

1.合并
发展我们两国的建设性合作关系，符合两国人民的根本利益和两国人民的共同心愿，必将造福于两国人民。
A constructive and cooperative relationship between us is in line with the fundamental interests and common aspiration of the Chinese and Americans and is bound to benefit both peoples.（同时，原文中的“发展”在译文中省略不译。）

2.词性转换
动词转化为介词
我们坚持以邻为善，通过和平谈判同绝大多数邻国解决了陆地边界问题，
In the spirit of good neighborliness, we have resolved the land boundaries question with most of our neighbors through peaceful negotiations.

动词转化为名词
与东盟就制定南海地区行为准则保持磋商，
We have maintained consultation with the ASEAN on the formulation of a code of conduct in the South China Sea area.

同世界各国一道，共同打击恐怖主义这一国际公害
join the rest of the world in the concerted fight against this common scourge

动词转化为形容词
事物之间、国家之间、民族之间、地区之间，存在这样那样的不同和差别是正常的，也可以说是必然的。
It is natural and inevitable for things, countries, nations or regions to be different one way or another.（此外，原文中“不同和差别”同义重复，译文中采用省略技巧）

3.拆分
我们主张，世界各种文明、社会制度和发展模式也应相互交流和相互借鉴，/ 在和平竞争中取长补短，在求同存异种共同发展。
We believe that the world’s civilizations, social systems and development models can come together for exchanges and emulation. / They can learn from one another for improvement in a peaceful competition and achieve common development by seeking common ground while reserving differences.（拆分后使用增词技巧，增加主语。）
