Let the cat out of the bag
I wanted mother’s present to be a secret, but my sister let the cat out of the bag.
另一个和let the cat out of the bag意思接近的习语是blow the whistle on someone.
Blow the whistle on someone
He was dismissed when he tried to blow the whistle on the safety problems of the factory.
Get something off one’s chest
If something is bothering you, get it off your chest and tickle your mind.
If you have something to say and feel that you should be heard, get off your chest and write to us.
Give the game away
We were trying to pretend we didn’t know it was her birthday but Sam gave the game away.
If you keep giving out hints, you’ll give the game away.
