Two Freshmen Meeting for the First Time新生初次见面
Bill: It's a lovely day, isn't it?
比尔：天气很好啊，是吧？
Li Ming: Yes. it is. Are you from Australia?
李明：是的，很好。你是从澳大利亚来的吗？
Bill: No, I'm from the US. I’m Bill. What's your name?
比尔：不是，我是从美国来的。我叫比尔，你叫什么名字？
Li Ming: I'm Li Ming. I'm f:rom mainland China - Beijing. This is my first time out of China.
李明：我叫李明。我来自中国大陆——北京。这是我第一次出国。
Bill: It's nice to meet you.
比尔：见到你很高兴。
Li Ming : It's good to meet you too. What are you studying here?
李明：我也很高兴见到你。你在这儿学的什么？
Bill: I'm studying Chinese. I hope I can go there some day. I'm really interested in Chinese history.
比尔：我学中文的。我希望有一天能够去中国，我对中国历史很感兴趣。
Li Ming: Do you think Mandarin is easy or difficult?
李明：你觉得普通话是简单还是难？
Bill: Oh, it's very difficult. But it's really interesting and I like it very much
比尔：很难。但是很有意思，我非常喜欢。
Li Ming: I hope you can make rapid improvements in your Chinese. If you ever want to practice, just let me know. I'd be more
than happy to help.
李明：希望你的中文能取得快速的进步。如果你想练习普通话就告诉我，我很乐意帮忙的。
Bill: Really? That's very kind of you. I don't have anything to offer you though. Your English is great.
比尔：真的吗？你太好了。不过我没什么可以帮你的，你的英文很好。
Li Ming: Maybe you could buy me a cup of coffee.
李明：也许你可以请我喝杯咖啡。
Bill: Anytime.
比尔：随时都可以。
