worth somebody's while 精力
【讲解】
此语多用于 it’s worth your/somebody's while to do something 这一句型中，例如：It would be worth your while to talk to the tuitor.（值得和导师谈谈。）与之相似的make it worth one’s while则指“酬谢某人；（贬）贿赂某人”。
【对话】
A:I don't know whether it's worth my while to do the postgraduate work.
A:我不知道读研到底值不值得。
B:Sure it is. But it's really hard for you within three years.
B:当然值得，但三年时间对你来说是够难的了。
A:That's what I'm thinking about.
A:我想的也正是这个原因。
