Mindset: 心境、心态
Content: 满足(形容词)
*注意重音在第一个t, /k?n?tent/。当重音在C上时,意思就是“内容”/'k?ntent/
Contentment: 满足(名词)
Expectation: 预期、期望,可数名词,可以加s
Manage expectations: 管理预期
Be happy with what you've got: 对自己所拥有的感到快乐、知足
It's not having what you want. It's wanting what you have: 关键不是得到你想要的,而是想要你已经拥有的
Want作为名词时,也是可数的。比如A person might have many different wants.
Want vs. need: 想要的 vs. 需要的
You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need: 你不能总是得偿所愿,但如果你足够努力,某时你可能会发现,你已经得到了你想要的,也许你得到了你需要的

Feeling content or having contentment is a lasting deep feeling: 满足、知足是一种长久深刻的感觉
一切关乎期望
Set expectations: 设立预期
Expectations are too high: 期望过高
Manage someone's expectations: 管理某人的预期
具体管理谁的预期,可以任意:比如manage client's/ boss's /parents' expectations; 还有manage your own expectations
Lower your expectations: 降低期望
Have higher expectations: 有更高的期望
Have realistic expectations: 合理的预期

Don't get your hopes up也可以在后面加too high: 别期望过高
It's not too bad: 事情没那么糟
It could have been worse: 还好没更糟
It's not the end of the world: 不是世界末日
