复合主语


1. 复合主语是指两个或两个以上主语由连接词连接，这时动词的单复数形式要根据具体情况而定。

2. neither...nor, either...or, not only...but also, or, nor等连接主语时,述语动词由最近的主语决定。
Not only you but also I am hungry.
不仅你饿，我也饿。

But neither you nor I have much money.
但你没钱，我也没钱。

Either you or I am crazy.
不是你就是我疯了。

Neither I nor you nor Tom is going.
你,我和汤姆都将不走。

Neither I nor Tom nor you are going.
我,汤姆和你都将不走。

Neither you nor Tom nor I am going.
你,汤姆和我都将不走。

Either you or he is able to do such work alone.
你和他都能够独自做这样的工作。

Not only the students but also their teacher likes music.
不但学生,他们的老师也喜爱音乐。

3. both...and连接主语时,述语动词用复数形式。
Since both you and I are hungry, let's go in and have something to eat.
既然你和我都饿了，咱们进去吃些东西。

Both English and Japanese are difficult.
英语和日语都是难的。

4. 两个或多个主语由with, together with, except, in addition to, but, including等连接时,述语动词一般要与这些介系词或片语介系词前面的主语保持一致。
Tomato soup together with onion and garlic is my favorite.
番茄汤加洋葱大蒜是我的最爱。

Nobody but you likes tomato soup.
除了你没人喜欢番茄汤。

The driver together with his children is in the car.
司机和他的孩子们在车里。

Nobody except your parents speaks French here.
这里除了你父母没有人讲法语。
