过去进行式


1.过去进行式表示过去某一时刻或某一阶段正在进行的动作。

2.过去进行式的形式是was (were) +现在分词。

3.过去进行式表示过去某一时刻正在进行的动作,与表示过去某一时刻的副词或副词片语连用。

I was watching TV at 2 o＇clock this afternoon.

下午两点时我正在看电视。

I was having dinner at eight o'clock yesterday evening.

昨晚八点我正在吃饭。

4.过去进行式表示过去某一段时间持续进行的动作。

I was watching TV before 4 o＇clock.

四点前我一直在看电视。

Tom was reading a book all morning.

整个早晨汤姆都在读书。

5.arrive, begin, come, drive, fly, go, leave, meet, move, stay, start等表示动作的动词的过去进行式,可用来表示过去将来即将发生的动作。

Your mother was coming today.

你妈妈今天要来。

She was flying here two o＇clock this afternoon.

她将在今天下午飞到这里。

I were meeting your mother at the airport.

所以我要到飞机场接你妈妈去。

He was meeting his brother at the airport the next day.

他第二天要到飞机场接他哥哥去。
