Unit 17 Talking Cow
第17单元 会说话的母牛
A man from the city was driving down a country road when his car stalled near a cow field.
有个城市来的人开着车徜徉在乡间小路上，经过一座母牛场的车子却抛锚了。
The driver, getting out to see what was the matter, noticed one of the cows looking at him. "I believe it's your radiator," said the cow.
司机下车查看哪里出问题时，注意到有只母牛在看着他。“我想问题出在散热器。”那只母牛说道。
The man nearly jumped right out of his city slicker britches! He ran to a farm house and knocked on the door. "A cow just gave me advice about my car!" he shouted.
这个人差点没从身上穿的那件时髦马裤中跳出来！他跑向农舍，边敲门边大喊着：“有只母牛刚指点我车子哪里出故障！”
The farmer nonchalantly learned out beyond the doorframe to glance down the field. "The cow with big black spots on it?" the farmer asked slowly.
农夫冷冷地靠在门框后，把农场打量了一遍。"是那只身上有两个大黑斑的母牛吗？"农夫慢悠悠问道。
"Yes! Yes! That's the one!" the excited man replied.
“没错！没错！就是那只！”激动的男子回答道。
"Oh, Well. That's Ethel." the farmer said, turning back to the man. "Don't pay any attention to her. She doesn't know a thing about cars."
“哎呀，那是艾瑟儿啦，”农夫转头对那人说道：“不要理她，她对车子根本一窍不通。”
