根据前面的分析，我们可以看出来，狄更斯评价社会、褒贬人物的出发点是资产阶级人道主义。凡是符合人道主义的，他就爱；凡是不符合的，他就憎。所以可以将《双城记》中的人物分为两类：贵族和贫民。每一类都有正面人物，也都有反面人物。
