中国继续发布台风天兔警报
Super Typhoon Usagi is barreling towards Taiwan and the mainland’s southern Guangdong province. The National Meteorological Center has continued to issue a yellow alert for the storm.
Usagi is currently centered around the northwest Pacific Ocean, about 620 kilometers away from southeastern Ngoluanpi of Taiwan. The maximum wind force around its center is estimated at more than 200 kilometers per hour. Usagi is forecast to move northwest, crossing the Bashi channel on Saturday and entering the South China Sea.
According to China’s meteorological authority, it will make landfall on the coastal area of south China’s Guangdong province on Sunday afternoon. Usagi is this year’s 19th typhoon, and may become one of the strongest typhoons to hit China’s southern coast.
