中国接入互联网20年 指尖上的改变
Two decades ago, China was introduced to the Internet, which connected the country closer with the rest of the world. It’s now an indispensable part of the nation’s economy and an integral part of many Chinese people’s daily life. Just about everything can be done from online.
In 2008, China surpassed the US as the world’s top user of the Internet, with nearly 300 million web sufers.
By 2014, it had more than 600 million web users. That’s about half of the country’s entire population. Hundreds of thousands of people have started businesses because of the thriving Internet, with some of them now major players in the global IT industry.
