北京派遣150名武警巡逻车辆
Police in Beijing have launched a new armed patrol force to respond to any incidents of terrorism and violent crimes.
The new force includes one hundred and fifty armed patrol vehicles and around two thousand policemen. They have been tasked with guarding key intersections and densely populated areas around the city.
Each patrol vehicle has a compliment of nine police officers and four assistants, who have been trained to arrive at the scene within three minutes if incidents involving bombs, guns, violence and terrorist attacks are reported. The new security force will be a permanent presence in the capital and will work around the clock.
