华北地区发布高温黄色预警
Temperatures have hit record levels in parts of northern China, with highs in some places reaching nearly 40 Celsius degrees.
Weather authorities in Hebei Province and the cities of Beijing and Tianjin have issued a Yellow Alert for High Temperatures, the third highest level.
Experts have advised people to limit their outdoor activities to avoid heatstroke, and the National Center for Disease Control has warned that the rising temperatures could aid the spread of infections.
The national weather forecaster predicts that the region’s heatwave will continue for another three days.
