-Ready for some Contour?
-Let's go.
So I met up with the celebrated makeup artist Scott Barnes to give a crash course in the art of Contour.
-OK, so explain this process, because I look at a photo that looks like a wall paint.
-Right. And I get a lot of people talking this. And they say, well, it looks terrible. But it does end after the actor's after-effect, doesn't it?
-Right.
Starting with palliative three different shades of foundation, light, medium and dark, Scott applies the light shade to just so-called problem areas like underneath your eyes to awake the tired skin.
-So we could puff your cheekbones up a little bit?
-Puff them.
Apply the darker colors to my cheeks, jaw and forehead to help define my stronger features.
-How long would you gonna blend this?
-You not, you just leave it like that. And you hope for the best.
After a few more minutes, wola!
-Wow, you blended it. I did not think that was possible.
Contouring kits are popping up all over the store shelves, from smashbox to eyes, lips and face, which sells just three bucks at target. Scott says any woman like newly-wed Kitty can achieve this look at home in a matter of minutes.
