China, Japan agree to enhance tourism exchanges

China and Japan have agreed to boost tourism cooperation and exchanges.
Li Jinzao, head of China's National Tourism Administration met his Japanese counterpart Akihiro Ota on Friday. He said tourism plays an important role in enhancing understandings between the two countries. Ota noted around 360,000 Chinese tourists came to visit Japan in February, giving a boost to the economy. He welcomed more Chinese tourists to visit Japan and promised to encourage more Japanese to go to China.
The two sides agreed to advance a more pragmatic cooperation to provide more convenience, comfort, and safety guarantees in their tourism exchanges.
