Germany orders recall of 2.4 mln VW cars
德国下令召回240万辆大众汽车
Take a look at some latest information on the Volkswagen emissions scandal. Today, the German automotive watchdog KBA ordered the company to recall 2.4 million vehicles in Germany. A spokesman from the authority confirmed the recall, though Volkswagen said it had not received any orders yet.
The company had planned to start the recall in January 2016, but that was rejected by the KBA. Volkswagen is under pressure to identify those responsible for the wrongdoing and fix up to 11 million affected diesel vehicles worldwide.
Meanwhile, the KBA and other European national authorities are due to provide an update to the European Commission in Brussels later today on investigations of the emissions scandal in their respective markets.
