The annual salary in IT sector in 2017 was over 130,000 yuan ($20,409), the highest among all industries, according to latest data from National Bureau of Statistics released on Tuesday.

国家统计局周二公布的最新数据显示，2017年IT业年薪突破13万元，位列各行业门类首位。

annual salary是年薪；IT sector是IT业。
这是IT业平均工资水平连续两年超过金融业（financial industry）。IT业年平均工资达到133150元，比上年增长（rise）8.7%；位居次席的金融业年平均工资为122851元，比上年增长4.6%，这一增速在各行业中最低（the lowest among all industries）。
至于IT业工资水平“高歌猛进”、而一向被视为“高富帅”的金融业则增长乏力的原因，中国劳动学会副会长苏海南表示，一方面，IT业属于高新技术行业（high-tech industry），符合经济转型升级的方向（in step with the direction of China’s economic transformation and upgrading），相关人才相对来说供不应求（demand for talent exceeding the supply），因而其工资水平和增速能保持较快增长（best salary with sound growth rate）；另一方面，金融业近两年来处于整顿和调整（adjustment）之中，业绩总体不太理想。
总体来看，IT业工资超金融业是一种好的变化，凸显了收入分配（income distribution）重点转移到高新技术（advanced technology）和实体经济（real economy）中的正确导向。
国家统计局人口和就业司首席统计师孟灿文表示，由于煤炭（mining industry）、钢铁去产能（cut overcapacity）改善了供需关系（the relation between demand），2017年这两个行业企业效益（profitability）均有提高，因此工人的平均工资也有所增长。
