Golfers in Florida were shocked recently to encounter a giant alligator strolling across the course, looking as if it came straight out of "Jurassic Park".

While playing a typical Sunday game at Buffalo Creek Golf Course, Charles Helms was able to get a video of a monster alligator casually strolling across the course.

Despite the fact that the Internet is completely freaking out over this, it apparently is not too unusual a sight for patrons of this course.

"He has been here for a very, very long time. People have heard that he is out here," said a golf course employee. "He doesn't bother anybody and they don't bother him, he's like a mascot for the course."

If the estimations of the gator's size are close to correct, this one could make the history books. The biggest alligator ever recorded in Florida was 14 feet long and 780 pounds.
