Online series Crime Crackdown goes viral
《扫黑风暴》火了，外国网友在求英文字幕版
Two years ago, Li Eryun and Huang Xing, co-producers of Crime Crackdown who both work for Tencent Video, read a lot of news stories about the anti-gang cases. 2019 also happened to be the second of a three-year campaign against organized and gang-related crimes, which inspired Li and her production to tailor a project centering on this subject, something rarely featured in the Chinese market.
作为《扫黑风暴》联合制片人，腾讯视频的李尔云和黄星两年前浏览了很多关于扫黑案件的新闻报道。2019年恰巧也是为期三年的全国扫黑除恶专项斗争的第二年。这让李尔云萌生了围绕这个市场上“稀缺”的题材制作一个影视项目的想法。
In March last year, she reached out to director, Wu Bai, known for the popular series Mystery of Antiques, and the blockbuster The Big Shot. Good at depicting stories with his distinctive style, Wu was quickly persuaded to helm the series.
去年三月，李尔云找到了导演五百。五百的作品具有独特的个人风格，他的代表作包括人气电视剧《古董局中局》、电影大片《“大”人物》。五百很快就决定了要拍摄这部剧。
With the cast established, the production has gone smoothly.
随着演员们的陆续加盟，这部剧的制作就顺利起来。
“In the past, most crime series unfold quickly. But we have attempted to do the opposite by leaving the audience more time to guess and imagine what the truth is,” explains more from Wu.
五百说：“以前的犯罪类型剧节奏推进特别快。但我们这部剧恰恰相反，让观众有更多的时间去猜测和想象真相是什么。”
The cast features veterans and young stars. Respectively, actor Sun Honglei plays a former police officer who takes 14 years to clear the name of an accusation; Zhang Yixing plays a young and brave police officer; Wang Zhifei has captured attention with his vivid interpretation of a ruthless criminal, who’s the mastermind behind a huge gang network; Wu Xiaoliang portrays a villain who commits multiple, severe crimes.
这部戏既有老戏骨又有年青演员。演员孙红雷饰演一名用14年时间澄清指控的前警官；张艺兴饰演一位勇敢的年轻警察；王志飞饰演的凶残罪犯是某个庞大黑恶势力的幕后主使，他以生动的演技吸引了观众；吴晓亮饰演了一个犯下多起严重罪行的恶棍。
Interestingly, the series has also seized attention overseas, with its scores reaching 7.4 points on IMDb and 8.0 points on Mydramalist. With many foreign netizens enjoy seeing pop idol Zhang Yixing, and some audience say they wish the English subtitles could be out as soon as possible.
有意思的是，《扫黑风暴》也吸引了不少海外粉丝，在IMDb上获得7.4分，在Mydramalist上也收获了8分。不少外国网友很喜欢偶像张艺兴的表现，一些观众希望该剧能尽快推出英文字幕。
