Enamel basins are staging a comeback this winter. Paired with a freshly baked strawberry cake and adorned with plump, fresh strawberries, this retro basin has become a consumer favorite.
搪瓷盆今年冬天又卷土重来了。搭配新鲜出炉的草莓蛋糕，用饱满新鲜的草莓装饰，这款复古的搪瓷盆已经成为消费者的最爱。
Mr Sun, the owner of a cake shop in Jinan, Shandong province, said that the 6-inch enamel basin strawberry cake is priced at 85.8 yuan per basin, appealing mainly to young customers. Since its launch in November, the shop has sold nearly a thousand basins.
一家蛋糕店店主孙先生介绍，目前店内在售的6寸搪瓷盆草莓蛋糕价格为85.8元/盆，顾客以年轻人为主。“自11月初上架该款蛋糕以来，已累计销售近千盆。”孙先生说。
Some people buy the enamel basin strawberry cake because it reminds them of their childhood and how their mothers used similar basins to store lard, evoking a nostalgic appeal. Additionally, some online users suggest using the basin to store lard after finishing the cake.
一部分人买搪瓷盆草莓蛋糕的原因，重点在搪瓷盆带来的“情怀”，其次才是“草莓”。有网友表示，“小时候妈妈用搪瓷盆装熬好的猪油，现在我给家里人买搪瓷盆草莓蛋糕，这算不算也是一种时代的奇妙传承。”还有网友称，吃完蛋糕，盆可以用来装猪油。
The enamel basin cakes' popularity has boosted sales of enamel basins. Several cake shop owners have started purchasing them since they became trendy, leading to increased sales and higher prices.
搪瓷盆蛋糕的火爆，也让搪瓷盆大卖。自从搪瓷盆蛋糕流行以后，多个蛋糕店店主联系采购。这导致了销量的增加和价格的上涨。
Wang Xiaohui, head of the Digital Economy Department at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, said that the spike in enamel basin sales from popular cakes is a temporary trend. With more enamel basin makers and stable strawberry prices, the cake's cost is set to drop, making it more affordable in the future.
浙江财经大学经济学院数字经济系主任汪晓辉表示，网红蛋糕拉动搪瓷盆的销量，会非常短暂。随着搪瓷盆生产商的增加和草莓价格的稳定，这款蛋糕的成本有望降低，价格也会更加亲民，届时会有更多消费者品尝到“用盆装”的草莓蛋糕。
