There is a fine line between those ideas. = Those ideas seem very similar, but they are different enough to matter.

这俩个主意好像相同，其实有不可忽视的差别。

（例子）：Do you really empathize with me or do you only sympathize? There is a fine line between those. Empathize means you under-stand how I feel because you have experienced it also. Sympathize means that you understand how I feel because you can imagine what it was like.

你是体念我呢还是仅仅同情而已？ 体念跟同情有细微的差别。体念指能设身处地为别人着想，同情指能理解他人的感情。
