FM: Border resolution with Russia "sets example"

A Foreign Ministry spokesman says the country's border agreement with Russia is based on existing bilateral treaties, which sets an example for the international community.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said, "The settlement is the result of years of negotiations and reflects the high level of the Sino-Russian strategic and coordinative partnership. It is also a concrete step towards carrying out the Sino-Russian Good Neighbor Treaty. It reflects a wish for peace and friendship from generation to generation between the two countries. It sets an example for the international community."
