一.alive：adj. 活着的，有活力的，注意到的，热闹的
【词义辨析】
alive，live，living
alive: 其反义词为dead，指生命从奄奄一息到精力旺盛的各种状态。
live: 通常作定语，指活生生的，生气勃勃的，还可表示现场直播的。
living: 其反义词为dead，指包括人和动植物的生命没有消失、仍然存在的状态。
【词语用法】
1.alive属于表语形容词，不能说very alive，只能说much alive或very much alive（后者比前者使用更普遍），等同于alive的定语形容词是living或live；
2.the greatest poet alive和the greatest living poet表达方式均可，意思也相同，也可说the greatest poet living，不过不常用，最好是说the greatest poet now living。
【例句用法】
1.He was alive to the danger of the work.
他非常清楚这项工作的危险。
2.The city was all alive when he arrived.
当他到达时，城里非常热闹。
3.Are your grandparents still alive?

二.exact：adj. 精密严谨的，确切的 vt. 强求，索取
【词义辨析】
accurate，exact，precise，right，true，correct
accurate: 指通过谨慎的努力达到符合事实或实际，侧重不同程度的准确性，与事实无出入。
exact: 着重在质与量方面的准确，语气比accurate强。
precise: 侧重极端准确，更强调细节的精确无误。
right: 使用广泛，可与这些词中的correct换用，但常暗示道德、理解、行动等方面的正确。
true: 暗指绝对准确，尤指复制品与原件丝毫不差。
correct: 最常用词，主要指按一定标准或规则来衡量，没有谬误和差错或无缺点错误。
【例句用法】
1.Tell me (the exact time) when the next train will arrive.
告诉我下一班火车抵达的正确时刻。
2.I don't know the exact date.
我不知道确切的日子。
3.I finally managed to exact a promise from them.
我最终迫使他们做出了保证。
4.I don't know the exact terms of the contract.
我不知道合同的正确条款。
