1.outgrown 长大

如：The boy has outgrown this suit.
这个男孩已长大，穿不下这套衣服了。

My son has outgrown that pair of shoes.
我儿子长大了，穿不下那双鞋了。　

2.slough off v. 抛弃，丢弃

如：Every spring this snake sloughs off its skin, as it has grown too big for it.
每年春天这条蛇都要蜕去旧皮，因为它身体长大，旧皮不适用了。

3.delegate vt. 派 ... 为代表，委派

如：The new manager was delegated to reorganize the department.
派这位新经理重新组织该部门。

The job had to be delegated to an assistant.
这项工作得交给助手去做。

4.in bulk 大量，整批散装

如：The study of metals and their properties in bulk and at the atomic level.
冶金学以金属及其聚合时和呈原子状态时的特性为研究对象的学科

In most markets you can buy fresh fruit in bulk.
在大多数市场上可买到散装新鲜水果。

5.errand n. 差使，差事

如：I'll go there to do an errand.
我将去那里办件事。

You must do the two errands this week.
你必须在一周内完成这两项任务。
