1.pull off v. 脱，努力实现，赢得

如：She pulled off a great coup in getting the president to agree to an interview.
她竟然办到了让总统同意接受采访。

The Browning brothers accused each other, saying "What on earth are you trying to pull off against me?"

2.excess n. 过量，超过，过剩

如：His excesses at parties are well known.
尽人皆知他在聚会上十分放肆。

Usury is interest in excess of a legal rate.

3.foliage n. 叶子(总称)，簇叶

如：Such foliage used for decoration.
青枝绿叶，叶饰用作装饰的绿叶
