1.camouflage

camouflage既可以作名词，也可以作动词，作名词的时候，表示“伪装，掩饰，迷彩服”，

例如：Some insect have a natural camouflage which hide them from the attack of their enemy.
有些昆虫有一种天然的保护色可以防止敌人的袭击。

不过，在文章当中，camouflage是用作动词，表示“disguise by camouflaging; exploit the natural surroundings to disguise something 用……伪装，装饰”，

例如：The soldiers camouflaged themselves with leaves and branches.
士兵们用树枝树叶把自己伪装起来。

2.hairstyle

这个词是个名词，由hair和style两个词合成的名词，我们都知道hair是“头发”的意思，style是“类别，款型”的意思；
显而易见，hairstyle就是“发型”的意思；

例如：That new hairstyle really does something/a lot for her.
那种新的发式的确使她好看一些[好看多了]。

3.veil

这个词也是一个既可以作名词又可以作动词的词，作名词的时候，意思是“面纱，眼十五，修女”，

例如：Most Moslem women wear veils in public places.
大多数穆斯林妇女在公共场所都戴着面纱。

文章当中veil和big ears连在一起用的，作动词，意思是“遮住，挡住”，

例如：He tried to veil his contempt at my ignorance.
他试图掩饰对我的无知的蔑视。

4.texture

这个词是个不可数名词，意思是“n. (材料等的)结构，特点，表面，基本结构”，

例如：Beat the mixture until it has a light, puffy texture.
把混合料搅拌到发起来为止。

The range of colour, pattern and texture is wide enough to suit every one's needs and taste.
颜色、图案及质地的多样化足以使每一个人的需求和审美要求得到满足。
