A row (noun) A verbal argument or disagreement 争吵,吵闹
如:We had a row about whose turn it was to clean the kitchen
我们吵了一架,都不愿去打扫厨房。
Permanent (adjective) Long lasting, not temporary 永久的
如:After having six temporary jobs she was delighted to get a permanent one
在换了6个临时性的工作之后,她希望找一个永久性的工作。
Proper (adjective) Appropriate, conforming, correct 合适的
如:Now I am getting a proper salary instead of just some pocket money
现在我有一份合适的薪水,而不是紧紧几个零花钱了。
A distinction (noun) marked superiority 卓越,优秀
如:She was an excellent student so it wasn’t a surprise to hear that she had got distinction in her exam
她是个全能的学生,因此听到她在考试中拿优秀,我一点儿也不吃惊。
To miss (verb) To feel sorry about the absence of somebody or something 想念
如:She missed her family a lot when she moved away to another town
搬到另一个镇上之后,她十分想念自己的家人。
A decision (noun) The act of deciding or making a judgement 决定
如:It was a difficult decision to make but she had to choose a winner
虽然很难选择,但是她必须得选出一个冠军。
