今天我们就来看看“草率地结婚”“勉强地结婚”在英文中用一个有趣的词语如何来说。我们先来听下面的2个句子：

例句-1：They had to divorce one year after they wedded with a rush ring.

例句-2：Wedding with a rush ring will of course lead to suffering.

在我们刚才听到的2个例句中，我们都可以听到同一个词语：wed with a rush ring。这是一条动词性习惯用语。习语中的wed（It is spelled w-e-d.）是“结婚，结合”的意思，rush（It is spelled r-u-s-h.）是“匆忙，仓促”的意思，ring（It is spelled r-i-n-g.）是指“戒指”，with（It is spelled w-i-t-h.）是“戴着”的意思。那么在西方国家，一对对情侣在上帝的鉴证下，在神父的操持下男女双方会相互交换表达爱意的戒指。Wed with a rush ring直译就是“带着戒指匆忙结婚”，意译为“草率结婚，勉强结婚”等。It means "to get married that casually".

我们再来看2个例子：

例句-1：She got divorced with her husband just two days ago and she is wearing a straw in her ear right away. Her friend advieces her to take a second thought and take an action, not wedding with a rush ring.

译文：她两天前才和她的丈夫离婚，现在就要马上找丈夫。她的朋友劝诫她要三思而后行，不要草率结婚。

注解1：get divorced意思是“离婚”，它是美语中非常常见的动词短语结构——get+动词的过去分词。再如：get killed：遭到谋杀，get hurt：遭到伤害等等。

Eg.I'll finish my homework right away.

我马上就把作业写完。

注解3：take a second thought and take an action：三思而后行

注解4：not wedding with rush ring是否定结构的现在分词短语在句中做伴随状况状语。

例句-2：In order to make a living with her little son, the widow had to wear a straw in her ear. But I think she must get troubled later, wedding with a rush ring.

译文：为了和她的小儿子维持生计，这个寡妇不得不另外寻找一个男子，但是我认为她如果这样勉强地结婚，今后一定会有麻烦的。

注解1：in order to：为了，以便（用于表示目的，to的后面接动词原形）

注解2：make a living：谋生make a living with sb：和某人维持生计

注解3：get troubled：陷入困境、麻烦（ get + 动词的过去分词 ）

注解4：wedding with a rush ring是现在分词短语做条件状语，可以将之改为条件状语从句。

在这2个例子中都出现了这个词语：wear a straw in one's ear，它的意思是a widow or woman who has broken up with his husband and now is looking for a man to marry。它是指寡妇或离婚妇女寻找另一个丈夫。

我们现在知道了最初听到的2个例句的意思，现在我们就回到它们中来看看它们的意思：

例句-1：They had to divorce one year after they wedded with a rush ring.

这句话是说：草率结婚一年后，他们就不得不离婚了。

注解：时间（one year, one week, ect.） + after +从句（名词）：某事件发生多久后就......

Eg.He died two years after we mad a match of it.

我们结婚两年后他就去世了。

Eg.Two years after this interview there was a fire at the Mills house.

这次采访两年后，摩尔斯房子着火了。

例句-2：Wedding with a rush ring will of course lead to suffering.

这句话是说：草率结婚必定导致苦果。

注解1：wedding with a rush ring是wed with a rush ring的动名词形式，在句中做主语。注意wed是闭音节，现在分词要双写d加上ing，即：wedding。过去时和过去分词也要双写d，加上ed，即：wedded。

注解2：lead to：导致，导向

Eg.Too much work and too little rest often lead to illness.

过量的工作和过少的休息会引起疾病。

Eg.Worries and tenseness can lead to insomnia.

忧虑和紧张会导致失眠。
